Surrounded on all sides by water with a pace a little less hurried than the neighboring communities is West Wildwood, which is joined to Wildwood by a two lane bridge that serves as the only road into and out of town.

West Wildwood, comprised primarily of vacation and year-round homes with a single night club, a miniature golf course and several marinas, has a pace and atmosphere suited to those who eschew bright lights and traffic jams in favor of sitting on an outside deck and watching recreational boats glide through the water as herons take to their roosts.

Many who live in or visit West Wildwood do so because of its quiet atmosphere, its abundant fishing and boating opportunities, and its proximity to the excitement of Wildwood nightlife including the world famous Boardwalk, restaurants, and nightclubs, and the vast bathing beaches that run for miles along the eastern side of the Wildwoods.

West Wildwood is unique in shore communities because it is truly unspoiled by commercial development. It is a favorite among families and retirees who enjoy the fact that while West Wildwood is seemingly tucked away from the rest of the world, it is central to the cultural and recreational activities that proliferate throughout Cape May County.
