Minimum Qualifications:

Requires licensure as a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) by the ND Board of Social Work Examiners (NDCC 43-41); and one year of professional human services work experience as a social worker, human relations counselor, developmental disabilities case manager, mental illness case manager, vocational rehabilitation counselor, activity therapist, addiction counselor, registered nurse, employment counselor, or a similar professional level position in the public or private sector; OR a master’s degree in social work and licensure as a Licensed Social Worker by the ND Board of Social Work Examiners.

If no qualified applicants are found, we will consider underfilling this position as a Social Worker I, with a salary range of $2384-$3974 per month.  Minimum qualifications require licensure as Licensed Social Worker (LSW) by the ND Board of Social Work Examiners. 

A valid drivers license, proof of insurance and a vehicle is required for this position.

Preference will be given to applicants with child welfare certification training.  Computer literacy is an absolute must.

Summary of Work:

Essential functions of this position include conducting licensing and relicensing of early childhood homes and facilities, complete compliance check lists, conduct unannounced visits, recommend approval or denial of application, public speaking, complete home studies as requested by court, permanency planning monthly reporting, attend court hearings, and child protection case management/assessments, Children’s Health Services, ND Health Tracks, parenting classes to name a few of the duties.  The vast majority of time will be spent in the Home and Community Based Program, Determining eligibility for IV E program and making Foster care payments for Tribal foster care  children and administering the Parent Aide program and supervising a Parent Aide.
