Courtyard Cafe

The Courtyard Café offers casual dining with a seasonal menu of American-inspired dishes, using local, organic or sustainable ingredients when possible. The menu includes soups, create-your-own salad entrees, and sandwiches. "Quick Pick" express offerings include pre-made sandwiches and salads. Coffee, espresso, beer and red and white wines also may be enjoyed in the café anytime.

The Courtyard Café occasionally will close early due to a special event, and it is closed December 25.

The entrance to the Courtyard Café is located off the G street lobby.


Summer Feature—Hot Dogs as America

As a special tribute to America's favorite pastime, the Courtyard Café features three authentic hot dogs from baseball cities across the country. Specialty dogs are $5.95, a plain dog is $4.95. Available from 11:30am–3pm daily through Labor Day (Monday, September 7, 2009).

  • New York Deli Dog—New York City's delicatessen tradition brings us this great natural-casing beef frank topped off with sauerkraut and deli mustard

  • Chicago Red Hot—a jumbo Vienna Beef frank on a poppy seed bun, is "dragged through the garden," topped with mustard, relish, onion, tomato, dill pickle, peppers, and a dash of celery salt

  • Fenway Frank—boiled and grilled Fenway-style, a beef hot dog served on a New England-style bun and covered with mustard and relish
