Welcome to the official home of the New Hampshire Governor's Lilac and Wildflower Commission.

Established by Governor John H. Sununu in 1984, the goal of the Governor's Lilac and Wildflower Commission is to promote extensive planting, propogation and care of lilacs and wildflowers throughout New Hampshire.

These efforts are accomplished through agricultural, educational, and horticultural programs, and through local community projects that involve schools, youth groups, 4-H and Garden Clubs and other civic organizations. more...

2008 Photo Contest Winners Announced
October 1, 2008 - The Governor's Lilac and Wildflower Commission has recently announced winners of their 2008 Lilac Photo Contest. Winning photographs highlight lilac plantings in various New Hampshire community settings taken during the 2008 growing season.

Prizes awarded to this years winners include a Deep Sea Fishing Excursion, Dinner and lodging, tickets to Canobie lake Park, Scenic Train Rides and more. Winners included:

1st Place: Roland Daigle - Warwick, Rhode Island
2nd Place: Tina Gagnon - Salem, New Hampshire
3rd Place: Arolyn Sargent - Concord, New Hampshire
4th Place: PJ Kinney-Lorenz - Littleton, New Hampshire
