On August 21, 2003 the Governor signed legislation
establishing a Filing Waiver Program that relieves participating counties of
most of the requirement to receive and maintain paper copies of reports from
political committees, provided that public Internet access to the Illinois
State Board of Elections web page is available.
The following Counties have agreed to participate in the Electronic County
Filing Waiver Program. If your political committee is
active in any of these counties and you file electronically, your committee
is no longer required to file copies of its reports.
However, the D-1 Statement
of Organization, and any written correspondence must still be filed
with the counties.
