MIDDLESEX AND PASSAIC COUNTY WINNERS
SPLIT $550,102 JERSEY CASH 5 JACKPOT
TRENTON, NJ – (November 13, 2008) – The two owners of Jersey Cash 5 jackpot tickets that were sold in Middlesex and Passaic Counties have split the top prize of $ 550,102 for the Jersey Cash 5 drawing held on Wednesday, November 12. Each winning ticket is worth $275,051.
Acting Executive Director William T. Jourdain said the winning tickets were the only two sold for Wednesday's drawing that matched all five numbers drawn. The winning numbers were: 04, 10, 12, 14 and 15.
The Middlesex County ticket was purchased at 7-11 #11443, located at 60 Edward Street in Iselin . The Passaic County ticket was sold at T-Bowl Smoke Shop, located at 1055 Hamburg Turnpike in Wayne.
"We are thrilled that the winning jackpot tickets were sold at 7-11 #11443 and T-Bowl Smoke Shop, ” said Acting Executive Director Jourdain. “For selling a winning ticket, they will each receive a bonus check for $750. Overnight, they have become two ‘lucky locations' for some very fortunate winners.”
Jourdain also noted that 6,982 other players won $147,708 in cash prizes in the drawing. For correctly picking four numbers, 207 players won cash prizes of $419.00 each, and for correctly matching three numbers, 6 ,775 players won $9.00 each.
Jersey Cash 5 is among the Lottery's more popular games with an average jackpot of $300,000. Sales from Jersey Cash 5 last year were just under $126 million.
