Health Facilities - Licensing and Certification*Please be advised that our agency is currently experiencing telephone difficulties due to the transition to a new telephone system. If you have questions regarding licensing and normally call the license hotline at (303) 692-2836 between 2 and 4 p.m., please call (303) 692-2800 during those hours and you will be directed to a hotline representative for assistance. If you are experiencing difficulties and know the email address of the person you are trying to reach, please send them an email for a response. If not, emails may also be sent to health.facilities@state.co.us. The Health Facilities and Emergency Medical Services Division assures that patients and residents receive quality care from health facilities and programs which are licensed and/or certifies and promotes health and safety through on-site inspections and complaint investigations. In addition to being licensed, many facilities may also obtain federal Medicare/Medicaid certification if they are in compliance with the regulations promulgated by the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).
