REMINDER: NMMSS Training Course for
NRC Licensees
NMMSS training for NRC Licensees is being planned
for September 15, 16, and 17, 2009, at the DOE Headquarters,
in Germantown, MD. The course is designed for individuals
with limited experience in NRC reporting requirements,
and is based on NUREG/BR-006, Rev. 7 and NUREG/BR-007,
Rev. 6. The following topics, among others, will be
included:
Completion of data forms: transactions, inventory
and material balance.
Inventory reconciliation
Foreign Obligations reporting
Report Products
The desired class size in 10 or less. A minimum of
6 will be required to conduct the class. You may register

There is no cost for this course.

INFORMATION FROM THE 2009 NMMSS USERS ANNUAL TRAINING MEETING
The 2009 Nuclear Materials Management and Safeguards System (NMMSS) Users Annual Training Meeting was held in Denver, Colorado, on May 19-21. The 2009 meeting was organized and hosted jointly by the Department of Energy (DOE) and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC). The training meeting's general sessions focused on:
Up to date information on NMMSS developments and enhancements
Regulatory drivers, reporting requirements, and potential impacts on NRC licensees and DOE contractors
System training and orientation
Exchange of ideas and solutions to streamline and improve system performance
