Facility Management
The Facility Management Division is responsible for Capitol tours, the Capitol central mailroom, overall daily operations and preservation of the state Capitol complex and surrounding 132-acre grounds.
The Capitol tour guides offer informative historical facts pertaining to our state Capitol and the surrounding areas. Tours are available Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to Noon and 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. The Capitol central mailroom staff provides mail services to all agencies located on the state Capitol grounds. The operating hours of the central mailroom are Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to Noon and 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm. For more information concerning central mailroom services please call 701-328-2481.
The daily operations staff provides all mechanical, electrical, maintenance, custodial and grounds maintenance and landscaping services necessary to ensure elected officials, state employees and visitors are offered an exceptional experience during their time at the state Capitol.
The budgeting, planning and construction staff manages all extraordinary repair and capital projects located throughout the state Capitol complex and surrounding 132-acre grounds. All new construction, historical preservation and restoration, and extraordinary repairs are prioritized and forecasted for a ten year period.
Other duties of the Facility Management Division of OMB are to establish Capitol Complex Facility Use Policies, provide Lease Negotiation and Administration services to all state agencies and attend Capitol Grounds Planning Commission meetings.
