Brief Description of Details: Guest speaker Dr. Marilyn Jacobs will present on the topic of pain from multiple perspectives. The discussion will focus on many aspects of pain including anatomy and physiology; acute versus chronic pain; medical conditions associated with chronic pain and treatment; and the psychology of pain and philosophy of suffering. Dr. Jacobs is a clinical psychologist and psychoanalyst in private practice in Los Angeles. She specializes in the treatment of patients with pain disorders.

Pain Management for Nurses - an online CE option
