The New Hampshire Department of Transportation hereby gives public notice of its policy to uphold and assure full compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Civil Rights Restoration Act of 1987, and all related statutes. Title VI and related statutes prohibiting discrimination in Federally assisted programs require that no person in the United States of America shall, on the grounds of race, color, national origin, sex, age, or disability be excluded from the participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be otherwise subjected to discrimination under any program or activity receiving Federal assistance. more …
Title VI Overview
Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 is a non-discrimination statute. Specifically, Title VI, as amended, provides that: No person in the United States shall, on the ground of race, color, national origin, sex, age, disability, income status, or creed, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance. more …

Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Program (DBE)
The New Hampshire Department of Transportation's Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Program is a Federally mandated program headed by the US Department of Transportation. The purpose of this program is to ensure nondiscrimination in the award of Federally assisted contracts by creating a level playing field on which DBEs can compete fairly.
