Minimum Qualifications:

  • Requires a high school diploma or GED and four years of directly related accounting, bookkeeping, budgeting, or  payroll experience. College or vocational education with courses in accounting or bookkeeping may substitute for the work experience requirement on a year to year basis.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (word, excel, publisher), and Database Use
  • Purchasing, payroll, budget preparation experience
  • Experience with People soft software
  • Strong receptionist, interpersonal, and effective communication skills  
The finalist for the position will be subject to state and federal criminal background checks, which includes fingerprinting.

Summary of Work:

  • Establish and maintain general and special accounts to established procedures.
  • Maintain various financial records, contracts, budgets, requisitions, purchase orders, payroll activities and revolving fund accounts.
  • Compile structured financial reports and supporting schedules.
  • Prepare preliminary budget reports.
  • Organize and maintain inventory of office supplies
  • Maintain database agency databases and compile information
  • Design and assist with preparation of newsletters, brochures, publications, reports, and correspondence
  • Assist with the coordination of workshops, conferences, and meetings
  • Communicate verbally with the public, staff, and students
