Korean Student Leaders
|
The Study of the United States Institute (SUSI) for Korean Undergraduate Leaders provided a group of approximately 15 undergraduate leaders from Korea with an integrated academic and educational travel program, designed to highlight U.S. history, society, culture, values, and institutions.
The institute focused on contemporary American life, as shaped by historical and current political, social, and economic issues and debates. In addition to exploring the major civic principles and values in American society, the program addressed U.S foreign policy and its role and involvement on the Korean peninsula.
The Korean Undergraduate Leaders Institute was administered by The University of Chicago and took place in January/February 2009. It is known as “The Institute for the Study of Democracy, Leadership, and Service in the United States.” For more information please see the University of Chicago’s program page.
