Grandstand Ticket Promotion Offers Fairgoers An "All-American Value" On 2009 Illinois State Fair Concerts

SPRINGFIELD, Ill – The Illinois State Fair has a deal for those who haven’t yet purchased 2009 Illinois State Fair Grandstand concert tickets.

Through its “All-American Value, More ‘4’ Less” promotion, the fair is offering any person who purchases four seats in the third and most affordable price range $5 off the cost of each ticket – a savings of $20.  But the deal doesn’t end there.  For every four seats purchased, the fair also will throw in one free, 2009 Illinois State Fair t-shirt. The shirt is red with the fair logo on both the left chest and back.

The 2009 Illinois State Fair Grandstand line-up features Lynyrd Skynyrd, who will open the Grandstand shows Friday, Aug. 14, with special guest Bo Bice. Pop sensation Kelly Clarkson and guest Eric Hutchinson follow on Aug. 15, and country acts Josh Turner, Jamey Johnson and Chuck Wicks will perform Sunday, Aug. 16.  The fair’s final weekend includes a concert Friday, Aug. 21, by country legends Montgomery Gentry, with supporting acts Kellie Pickler, James Otto and Candy Coburn.  Rounding out the star-studded line-up are rock legends Heart and The Bangles on Saturday, Aug. 22.

All shows start at 8 p.m., except for the Montgomery Gentry concert, which begins at 7 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at the Grandstand box office either in person or over the phone at (217) 782-1979.  Tickets also are available on the internet at Ticketmaster.com, at Ticketmaster outlets or by calling Ticketmaster at (800) 745-3000.  For more information, including ticket prices, visit the Illinois State Fair’s website at www.illinoisstatefair.info.
