With the passage of HB 2009, the Oregon Health Authority has been established and Dr. Bruce Goldberg has been appointed by Governor Kulongoski as its Director. Over the next biennium, Dr. Goldberg and the staff members of the Department of Human Services and the Health Authority will work with the citizen members of the (to be appointed) Health Policy Board and other committees to meet the requirements of the legislation and the goals envisioned by those involved in its development.
In the coming weeks and months, Oregonians can expect to hear more about the progress of health reform and the careful transition of state health care entities into the Oregon Health Authority. During this transition, please use the following contact address:
