2009 Directors Institute Conference
The Directors Institute: “Mission Possible!” will be held August 31 through September 2, 2009, at the Wigwam Golf Resort & Spa, located in Litchfield Park, Arizona. Sessions will cover a range of topics and issues facing Special Education Directors today. Participants will receive information regarding federal/state requirements and resources for all special education personnel.

All registrations are for the 3 day conference. There will not be 1 or 2 day conference registration offered.

Standard registration, July 16 – August 15, 2009, $300.*

Day of the conference registration, August 31 – September 2, 2009, $325.

*After August 15, 2009, online registration will no longer be available. Registration at the conference is $325.

Upon completion of registration, you will receive a confirmation number. If you do not receive a confirmation number, your registration was not completed. Confirmation numbers are not guaranteed admittance. Payment accepted by check or purchase order only. Either form of payment must be received before the registration deadlines. No substitutions or refunds will be allowed.

AFR Web Based Training for Non-Public Schools
>> THIS IS NOT FOR PUBLIC OR CHARTER SCHOOLS << Come learn hands on how to navigate through the CNP AFR online process. The half-day trainings are geared towards non-public schools and institutions. We will provide instruction on how to complete the Child Nutrition Program Annual Financial Report and allow for some hands on practice to online submission of the report. This training is designed for Business Managers and Administrators of non-public schools who are responsible for completing the Annual Financial Report and for Food Service Directors who are interested in understanding the fiscal reporting. NSLP Computer Track
NSLP Computer Track for food service personnel responsible for submitting of monthly reimbursement claims. The main focus of the training is on reimbursement claims. If you are currently submitting claims without taking this course you will need to participate to maintain access to the Common Logon. Round IIB - English Language Development (ELD) Classroom Practices Training for Teachers/13 contact hours
This two-day teachers’ cohort training will include a focus on the English Language Proficiency (ELP) Standards in the Reading and Writing Domains. (Round IIA training focused on the ELP Standards in the Listening and Speaking Domains.) The Discrete Skills Inventory (DSI) will again be utilized in this phase of training. Participants will receive two additional ELD Methodologies for use in the SEI Classroom with English language learners. One methodology will be in the Reading Domain and one will reference the Writing Domain. The Morphology component of the Language Star will also be emphasized with a Verb Tense Study section of the agenda. Participants are reminded to bring their Round IIA Binders to this training.
