The Division of Emergency Services oversees - the Bureau of Emergency Communications, which operates the State’s Emergency 9-1-1 system. Our goal is to protect the citizens of New Hampshire.
At Emergency Communications, we use the latest technology to provide New Hampshire residents and visitors with police, fire or emergency medical assistance. By calling 9-1-1 from any telephone in New Hampshire, help can be dispatched within minutes for any type of emergency. Call Caller ID technology allows us to get help to people, even if they are not able to speak. Technology is also being introduced to allow us to locate individual cell phones.
