AZ LEADS3 (Arizona Leaders in Education for the Advancement and Development of Student and School Success) is our statewide initiative focused on developing schools and student success. Members of this consortium are listed under Agency Representatives below.
The mission of AZ LEADS3 is to collaborate on training and support for preK-12 education leaders in order to create school environments in which all students achieve at high levels. Our goal is to support principals and superintendents in all school settings throughout the state in their efforts to improve student achievement.
In December 2004, through the efforts of the AZ LEADS3 partners, Arizona was awarded the prestigious Wallace Foundation Grant for $1.2 million, renewable annually for two additional years, for developing leaders and improving leadership conditions across Arizona. After three successful years with support from The Wallace Foundation (see Fact Sheet), the leadership project has evolved into a a high quality, standards-based professional development for principals, assistant principals, aspiring principals and school superintendents.
