Outreach and Promotional Activities

The Oregon Family Planning Program launched a statewide advertising and promotion campaign in January, 2009.  The campaign is intended to increase awareness of the availability of free or low-cost family planning services for Oregonians with incomes below 250% of the Federal Poverty Level.

Transit Advertising 

Ads have been placed on public transportation vehicles in the five major metropolitan areas along the Interstate-5 corridor. Ads will run through October, 2009 in the following counties: Benton, Clackamas, Linn, Marion, Multnomah, Jackson, Lane and Washington.
Eugene Transit Mall

Outdoor Advertising

Billboard advertising has been placed in rural communities.  Ads will run through October, 2009 in the following counties: Baker, Columbia, Coos, Crook, Curry, Deschutes, Douglas, Harney, Hood River, Jefferson, Lincoln, Malheur, Polk, Tillamook, Umatilla, Union, Yamhill and Wasco.

Oregon's Family Planning Project Social Marketing Initiative is designed to promote:

  1. Access to and full utilization of family planning services, and
  2. Consistent use of effective contraceptives.
