The Bearwallow Trail System

Most noted for..... being one of three original HMT systems (opened in October 2000).  It is also noted for its more difficult rated trails, most difficult rated trails, and difficult single track. Bearwallow is located near the historic site of the Battle of Blair Mountain, and has direct trail access to and from the town of Logan, WV. Bearwallow is also open to 4x4s and ORVs.

Most noted for..... historic relevance to the Hatfield-McCoy Feud and Matewan Massacre, overall amount of trails, one of three original HMT systems (opened in October 2000), high percentage of single track trails, two trailheads, and direct trail access to the towns Williamson, Delbarton, and Matewan.

The Devil Anse Trail System

Devil Anse Trail System links up to two other Hatfield McCoy Trail Systems- Rockhouse and Buffalo Mountain- totaling over 300 miles. The trailhead is located in the town of Matewan, historically known for being the heart of the Hatfield McCoy Feud. The trail system has direct access to gas, food and lodging.

The Pinnacle Creek Trail System

Most noted for..... one third of the largest continuous areas of the HMT network along with Pocahontas and Indian Ridge trail systems and connectors.   Pinnacle Creek is also know for it's scenery and proximity to Twin Falls State Park (15 miles) as well as skiing and whitewater rafting (within 1 hour).

The Pocahontas Trail System

Most noted for..... one third of the largest continuous areas of the HMT network along with Pinnacle Creek and Indian Ridge trail systems and connectors.   Pocahontas is also know for historic former millionaire town of Bramwell where it's trailhead is located.  The Pocahontas trail system is the nearest HMT trail to the I-77 Turnpike and gateway to the southeast.

The Rockhouse Trail System

Most noted for..... being the largest single trail system and for being one of three original HMT systems (opened in October 2000).  The trail is also noted for its wide variety of all types of trail riding and the largest number of lodging facilities directly adjacent to the trail in both towns of Man and Gilbert, WV.
