Licensing and Certification - Frequently Asked Questions

Requesting Variances (Exceptions) to the Administratiave Rule

No Questions have been submitted at this time.

Adult 24-Hour Residential Facilities:

Q- Do we still need a variance for locked knives?

A- It depends. Define the issue on the individual's (the person who needs them locked) safety plan and no variance is required. No further action is required if the other individuals in the home don’t care about the locked knives. If one individual is upset by the fact that the knives are locked, then that individual would require a variance.
