Oklahoma
Oklahoma is leading the Nation through innovative alternative fuels programs. The state has a network of over 80 liquefied petroleum gas (propane) fuel stations, over 28 compressed natural gas fuel stations and over 23,000 alternative fueled vehicles on the road. The state’s first biodiesel refinery is currently under construction which is expected to produce over ten-million gallons of fuel per year. |

American Recovery and Reinvestment Act
A portion of the funds from the State Energy Program are allocated by formula among the states. To apply for a grant from the remaining funds, each Governor is required to write a letter to the Secretary of Energy explaining that the state will pursue policies to promote energy efficiency and renewable energy as outlined in Section 410 page 32 of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.
