How do I...use this website?

This page is designed to provide you with an overview on how to use this site. The easiest way to navigate our website is to use the top navigation menu:

Use your mouse to hover over any of the top navigation tabs to view the additional content within that page. Then simply move your mouse to the item of interest and click the hyperlink to navigate to that page.

How to use the Top Navigation Menu:

Navigating other websites can be very tricky and sometimes you can accidentally wander too far from Home. But with our website, you don't ever have to worry about being lost. There are two simple ways you can navigate back to our homepage:

  1. Click on the Recovery.ca.gov logo at the top of your screen

Here you can also sign up for our RSS feed and track updates to our website.

In the body of our homepage you will find our California Stimulus Map. Clicking on the image of the map will navigate you to the Stimulus Map page where you can drill further into the map for projects in your neighborhood or to view projects that you are interested in. Another method of getting to projects you are interested in is by clicking on the hyperlink of the "Investment Category" in the histogram to the right of the map. This will take to you the "Investment Category" page.

Investments

The ARRA funds made available to California are separated into eleven key areas of investments. These categories are:
  1. Education
  2. Energy
  3. Health and Human Services
  4. Housing
  5. Labor
  6. Other
  7. Public Safety
  8. Science and Technology
  9. Tax Relief
  10. Transportation
  11. Water and Environment
Each investment category page will contain information unique to that investment area. This includes a high-level description, a map, a histogram depicting the allocation of funds, a program table, a calendar of upcoming events, news links, related documents and agencies, all unique to the investment category.

To see how these funds are directly affecting you and your community, navigate to the Recovery Impact tab for items like:
  1. Stimulus Map - This page contains a full version of the stimulus map. Here you can drill down further for projects in your neighborhood or to view projects that you are interested in
  2. California Recovery Statistics - Are you interested in the numbers? Here are a few graphs and charts on how you ARRA funds are being spent
