Note that by New Jersey law, only interpreters listed in the Legal Interpreting List are allowed to work in legal or quasi legal settings, whether in court or at an attorney’s office, whether at an actual court house or a legal context within a hospital, educational or any other setting.  If you have any questions about whether or not the setting requires a legally approved interpreter, contact DDHH for assistance.
