TEXT: 100 are selected for the prestigious Civic Education Week program through an open merit-based process.

TEXT: These FLEX students participate in:
-seminars on the U.S. system of government
-leadership and community service workshops
-discussions with representatives from the media and civic organizations
-meet with Congressional members and staffers on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C
-and create lasting impressions and friendships.

FLEX PARTICIPANT 1: We are becoming individuals.

FLEX PARTICIPANT 2 : And, we actually, we grew up a lot.

FLEX PARTICIPANT 3 : The most important thing I like about the program is that you study U.S. culture, U.S. civics and also you learn English. You go back home so you can make the changes.

FLEX PARTICIPANT 2 : There’s lots of people who come to America. America is like a new world. World of people that come to live better, to make the country better, to make the country they were hoping to have.
