South Slough Celebrates with the Opening of a New Trail and Footbridge

Dr. Jane Lubchenco addressed the open house at South Slough Reserve on July 11, 2009 and offered her congratulations to the Reserve. The event was a celebration of the South Slough Reserve's 35th year of existence as the nation's first estuarine research reserve as well as a celebration of Oregon's 150th year of statehood.
The event also served as the official opening and dedication of the new North Creek Trail and a new footbridge spanning the tidewaters of the South Slough. |
