  • Total Available: $45,534,073,445

 Major Actions Taken to Date:
  • The Department approved State Fiscal Stabilization Fund applications for New Mexico, North Dakota, Nebraska, New Hampshire, and Alaska for a total of 37 states approved and $24.9 billion in monies made available for this fund to date.
  • The Department received State Fiscal Stabilization Fund applications from Delaware, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Oklahoma, and Wyoming, bringing the total of states submitting to 46. The deadline for Phase I SFSF applications is July 1.
  • The Department completed third draft of the Notice of Proposed Priorities for Race to the Top Phase I applications.
  • The Department completed a draft of the IDEA uses-of-funds guidance.
  • The Department provided to OMB guidance for the Ed Tech program.
  • The Department submitted for Department clearance the Notice of Proposed Priorities on uses-of-funds guidance for the IDEA Infant and Toddlers with Disabilities program.
  • The Department submitted to OMB the Notice of Proposed Rulemaking to lift the administrative caps for IDEA and Title I.
 Major Planned Actions:
  • The Department will review the remaining State Fiscal Stabilization Fund applications when received and provide state-specific feedback as appropriate to address outstanding questions and/or issues.
  • The Department will complete a final draft of the Notice of Proposed Priorities for Race to the Top Phase I applications and continue preparations for the clearance process.
  • The Department will respond to comments from OMB on the State Fiscal Stabilization Fund Phase II Notice of Proposed Priorities.
  • The Department will respond to comments from OMB on the RFA for the Statewide Longitudinal Data Systems grant program.
  • The Department will submit for Department clearance the Notice of Proposed Priorities for the School Improvement Grant program.
  • The Department will submit to OMB the NPP for the Teacher Incentive Fund grant program.
