Employment data for the Federal government are compiled by the U.S. Census Bureau from data collected by the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM). Data by governmental function are for October from 1992 to 1995 (data by function not available for 1996), for March from 1997 to 2002, and for December from 2003 to 2007. These data are based on the Monthly Report of Federal Civilian Employment (Standard Form 113A). [Note: The Federal Government data exclude information on calculated full-time equivalent employment.]
