Major Actions To Date Major Planned Actions
Finalized wording of notice to beneficiaries who will receive the $250 Recovery Act payments. Continue work on programming and analysis for one-time Recovery Act payments and for extended unemployment benefits.
Six (6) new Treasury Appropriation Fund Symbols (TAFS) have been established for Recovery Act funding. Plan to issue notice to beneficiaries about their $250 payments in late April/early May.
Requested apportionment of Recovery Act funding totaling $156.48 million into the 6 new TAFS. Plan to issue one-time Recovery Act payments to entitled railroad retirement beneficiaries in late May 2009.
Updated RRB’s Recovery Act web page with Frequently Asked Questions for both the one-time payments and the extended unemployment benefits.
