Congresswoman Bordallo Announces an Opportunity for a
Congressional Summer Page

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – April 15, 2009 – Hagåtña, Guam –

Congresswoman Madeleine Z. Bordallo announced today that she has been given an opportunity to nominate a Congressional Page for the 2009 Summer Session from June 7 to June 27. Interested high school students should submit an autobiographical essay which will form the basis for selection. Essays are due on Monday, April 20 and should be delivered or faxed to Congresswoman Bordallo’s District Office. The essay should tell about the student and explain, “Why I want to be a Congressional Page”. Essays should be 250 to 300 words in length.

The essay must be submitted by Monday, April 20, 2009 to Congresswoman Bordallo’s office located in the Capitol Plaza Building, 120 Father Duenas Avenue, Suite 107 Hagåtña, and Guam.

Eligible students must:
· Be 16 years of age by the beginning of the Page term, June 7, 2009; and  
· Have just completed their sophomore or junior year.
· Be a U.S citizen

Congressional Pages are paid a small stipend; however, cost of airfare to and from Washington, D.C. is not included. For more information contact Congresswoman Bordallo’s office at 477-4272.
