EARLY CAREER PRINCIPAL INVESTIGATORS (ECPI)
|
The objective the ECPI program is to stimulate academic research in scientific areas of interest to ASCR programs, especially among faculty in the early stages of their academic profession. The specific research areas of interest to ASCR include the following: applied mathematics, computer science, and high-performance networks. In the past the program has identified exceptionally talented applied mathematicians, computer scientists, and high-performance net-works researchers early in their careers and it has assisted and facilitated the development of their research programs.
ASCR has been commended for using ECPI program to increase the pool of talented investigators in computational sciences, of which the average award has been approximately $100K per year.
Currently the program in being restructured and is on hold. Please check this site for future updates as to program status.
