Learning About and Keeping Up with New Technologies
- Technology classes: We regularly offer technology classes online through Adobe Connect (no special software needed). Learn about RSS feeds, iGoogle, micro-blogging, and blogs and wikis. If you can't attend the "live" sessions, you can watch a recording.
- Keeping up with new technologies: how can you keep up? Take a look at our list of news feeds to help you keep up.
- Videoconferencing and voice over IP: did you know that you can use online videoconferencing and voice over IP programs to communicate with patrons and colleagues?
- Communication Tools: reviews and checklist of the latest tools.
- Regular posts on the MCR News Blog: check out the "Technology" category of the MCR news blog to read technology related items of interest.
MidContinental Region's Social Bookmarking Project
A number of months ago, the National Network of Libraries of Medicine, MidContinental Region assembled a Working Group to undertake a social bookmarking project. The goal of the project is to tag resources deemed relevant and useful to our Network members, and make them available to anyone who visits the MCR web site. The Working Group is made up of several NN/LM MCR members. Click on any tag below and you will be taken to the MCR's Delcious page with all the resources that have been tagged.
