Research Interests/Duties
frog My primary research and monitoring interests and experience are in:
  • Amphibians and reptiles ecology, conservation and restoration;
  • Freshwater pond and stream ecology and hydrology;
  • Effects of timber harvesting, water diversions, and other land and water management activities on aquatic species.

    Current Emphases, Studies, Projects
    Reintroduction of a declining amphibian: determining an ecologically feasible approach for the foothill yellow-legged frog (Rana boylii) through analysis of decline factors, genetic structure, and habitat suitability.

    Determining the Effects of Livestock Grazing on Yosemite Toads (Bufo canorus) and their Habitat: An Adaptive Management Study.

    Aseasonal pulsed flow effects on the foothill yellow-legged frog (Rana boylii): Integration of empirical, experimental and hydrodynamic modeling approaches

    Multi-scale environmental relationships and population status of lentic-associated amphibians in the Lake Tahoe basin.
