The Lower Colorado Regional Office, located in Boulder City, Nevada, is the administrative headquarters for the Bureau of Reclamation's water management activities throughout the Southwest. The Region encompasses southern Nevada, California south of the Tehachapi Mountains and east of the Sierra Nevada, most of Arizona, a small corner of southwest Utah, and a small piece of west-central
New Mexico. The Regional Office was formally established in 1943, some four decades after Reclamation began working
in these states.

Regional Director's Office
External Affairs Office
The headquarters of the Regional, Deputy Regional, and Assistant Regional Directors, and includes External Affairs, Equal Employment Opportunity, Security and Safety Offices.
Resources Management
Provides services and consultation in environmental planning and compliance, cultural resources, land-use management, recreation, and wildlife and natural resource management.
Management Services
Provides procurement and financial assistance (grants and agreements) services, and administers facilities management and information technology programs for internal staff.
Boulder Canyon Operations
Manages and administers programs related to Colorado River and other water resources, including administration of water and power contracts,operations and maintenance of hydropower plants, water conservation programs, and water use accounting.
Human and Information Resources
Photography/Audiovisual Resources
Provides personnel management, labor relations, management consulting, and graphic and multimedia services, and is the source of Regional employment opportunities. The office also provides photographic and audiovisual products, library resources, and responds to Freedom of Information Act inquiries.
Engineering Services
Provides design and construction services, including project scheduling, field investigations and surveying, field and design data, designs and specifications, cost estimations, pre-award contracting activities, contract administration, and construction inspection.
Financial Management
Plans and administers the financial accounting program and budget system for the Region and executes policies, standards and procedures to coordinate all financial and related activities.
