Total employment on Guam dipped in June 2008 in the preliminary figures. While the job count declined in the latest quarter, the total remains slightly above what it was one year ago. Employment declines, associated with both public and private educational institutions, accounted for most of the usual seasonal decline in June, although some of the reduction was in tourist-related activities including Transportation, Hotels and Trade.
