About the Academic Environment in the U.S.
The academic environment in the United States is different than in many other countries. The environment can also differ for faculty, students, and within research institutions.

Admissions
In addition to individuals who are beginning graduate or professional study, many mid-career scholars travel to the United States to participate in postdoctoral research, lecture, consult, or complete additional training.
