Robert (Bob) G. Jenkins
Director, Office of Aviation Management
Bob Jenkins is a highly experienced manager and leader who spent his entire professional career, of approximately 40 years, in aviation or aviation-related pursuits. Prior to joining DOE as Director, Office of Aviation Management (OAM), Bob served 30+ years in the United States Air Force and retired in the grade of Brigadier General. While in the Air Force, he served in a wide range of flying and staff assignments, both in the Continental United States and overseas in Europe and Asia. He has 3000+ hours flying experience primarily in fighter aircraft, including approximately 300 hours in combat while flying the F-4, Phantom in Viet Nam. While serving as a senior officer, he acquired significant aviation management experience by commanding aviation organizations at Squadron, Wing and Numbered Air Force levels and by serving in key headquarters staff positions, ranging from Headquarters USAF to Major Regional Command and Numbered Air Force Headquarters.
