Cotton plots at the ARS lab in Bushland, Texas, are tested for water stress.  The circles are placed around individual leaves, which were later cut for determination of leaf water potential, a key indicator of plant water stress. Relationships are determined between the leaf water potential, leaf temperature, and the multi-spectral measurements, which are useful in automating irrigation applications for efficient water use. The plot received the normal full irrigation amount.
