AQMD Self-Inspection
Checklist. This list, used by AQMD
Inspectors, can also be used by owners and operators of autobody shops to ensure
compliance with rule requirements and permit conditions.
AQMD VOC Recordkeeping Forms. Proper completion of recordkeeping forms is required by AQMD Rule 109. These or other recordkeeping
forms may be used to help meet this requirement.
AQMD Technical
Consultation Service. AQMD provides free technical consultations, either by
telephone or on site at your business, with permit applications and compliance assistance.
Certified Permitting Professionals. AQMD certifies specially trained individuals who successfully
pass a written exam as Certified Permitting Professionals (CPP). CPPs help companies
prepare applications for AQMD permits.
The DfE Auto Refinish
Project of the EPA is a voluntary program that works in partnership with
the collision repair industry to promote best practices and technologies that
reduce toxic emissions of diisocyanates, organic solvents, heavy metals, and
other hazardous air pollutants. The DfE Program encourages the development of
safer paint products and conducts train-the-trainer best practices workshops
to promote outreach to shops across the country.
Air Quality Assistance
Fund (AQAF). If you are
planning to purchase new equipment that requires an air pollution permit, you may be
eligible to participate in the AQAF loan guaranty program, intended to help reduce the
costs of complying with our rules and regulations.
