Dear Mr. Secretary: Re: "MADE IN USA POLICY COMMENTS"

The Clothing, Manufacturers Association of the USA, which represents manufacturers of men's and boys' tailored clothing throughout the USA, strongly urges that the present rules and regulations governing identification of a product as Made in the USA be retained, and not permit products to be labeled (Made in the USA) if parts made with foreign labor (such as backs, sleeves, etc) account for up to 25% of the manufacturing cost of those products.

Too many domestic men's and boys' tailored clothing manufacturing plants and jobs have already been lost to increasing competition from low-wage imports to encourage the use of foreign clothing manufacturing labor to benefit from a "Made in the USA" label.

Sincerely,

Robert A. Kaplan
