Correcting a Mistake After Filing

 

Once a document has been filed and electronically served on the other parties in the case, it cannot be removed from the court file without the order of a judge. Nor can it be replaced by another document.

 

If you make a filing error, DO NOT refile the document. Instead do the following:

  • Note the case number and the docket number of the document filed in error.

  • Call the ECF Help Desk at 1-866-323-9293 or 206-370-8440 as soon as possible and give them the details of the error.
  • Help Desk hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM PST (Monday through Friday).
  • Follow the directions of one of the ECF Help Desk
    coordinators.
