Getting admitted to practice in this district

  • Learn how to complete and file a Petition for Admission to Practice.

Appearing Pro Hac Vice

  • Obtain approval to appear in a specific case if you are not a member admitted to practice in this district.

Getting conditionally admitted to practice

  • For Federal government attorneys who need to practice in this district.

Joining our Pro Bono Panel
  • Make a contribution to the community by providing free legal assistance to parties who cannot afford counsel in civil matters.

Accepting CJA appointments
  • Work with the U.S. Public Defender's Office to provide representation to persons who cannot afford counsel in criminal matters.

Becoming a certified 39.1 neutral
  • Participate in the court's Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Program as a certified mediator or arbitrator.

Registering for our Electronic Case Filing system (ECF)

  • Register for electronic case filing.

Request a Certificate of Good Standing or a copy of your Petition for Admission to Practice Certificate

  • Obtain either document for a $15 processing fee.

  • Search for contact information for attorneys who are members of our bar. 

Apply for Leave to Appear as a Legal Intern

  • Complete and return an application to the Clerk's Office.
