Welcome to the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service's Carlsbad office. We are located in the city of Carlsbad – a biodiversity hotspot within southern California. It is our mission to conserve, protect, and enhance fish, wildlife, plants, and their habitats for the continuing benefit of the American people.

Within our area of responsibility, we have more than 18 million people and 102 federally threatened or endangered species, 28 Congressional Districts, and 29 Indian tribes.

Our field office serves all or portions of the following geographical areas:
Los Angeles, Orange, San Diego, Imperial, Riverside, and San Bernardino counties
