The Center for Health Statistics (Vital Records) is Oregon's vital records office. Each birth, marriage, divorce, and death that occurs in Oregon is registered and filed with our office.
The Vital Records office is responsible for certifying, amending, and issuing these vital event records, compiling and analyzing data from the records, and maintaining the adult and youth risk behavior surveys.
Currently, the Center is conducting a phased implementation of the Oregon Vital Events Registration System, otherwise known as OVERS. This is a secure, web based, integrated system for all the vital records systems.
Domestic Partnership declaration forms for same-sex couples have been available from DHS since February 1, 2008.
