- I was in a local Target store the other day (Cox Rd Gastonia, NC) an...d was planning to use a few coupons. At checkout, a few of the coupons scanned but the 4th caused the cashier's screen to display something along the lines of "Check for item in bag. If Product is present, pick 'accept anyway'". This has happened in the past and the cashier would just push a button and the coupon would be taken off. This time, the cashier asked a supervisor about it and the supervisor said that if this screen comes up, they just can't take the coupon even if the coupon was from the physical newspaper inserts. I find this odd because I purchased the product word for word on the coupon as well as what is shown in the picture on the coupon. It's also worth noting that ALL "Buy One Get One" coupons, even Target store BOGO coupons, show this screen when the coupon is scanned. Target won't accept their own coupon when you purchase the correct items? Can someone from corporate please correct the employees and management at this location? Just because this screen comes up does not mean that the coupon does not match the product being purchased. The cashiers have even confirmed that I had purchased the correct product and the coupon was indeed for that item but they weren't able to take the coupon... This is what the coupon policy is in place for. The policy states that they take BOGO coupons but in my experience using coupons at Target, ALL BOGO coupons in existence bring this message up on the cashier's screen. Does this mean this Target store will not accept ANY BOGO coupons? Even if the BOGO is a Target store coupon and even if the correct item is being purchased? I ask all of this because I'd rather get an answer now and have this issue corrected before Target loses customers by rejecting all of these coupons that customers may have that match the product and are within guidelines of usage via the Target Policy. If at all possible, maybe someone higher up can check how their system works themselves. Gather several BOGO coupons and try to use them as any regular customer would. They will all bring up this "Pick Accept Anyway" prompt on the cashier's screen. See More
