GETTING STARTED

SEARCH JOBS WITHOUT REGISTERING

NEW USERS

NOTE : Employers CANNOT view your Social Security Number, Birthdate, Race, Disabilities, or other confidential information when viewing your resume. Confidential information is being collected for statistical purposes only and will not affect the services you receive.

REGISTERED USERS

NOTE : We do have your user name on your file in our office, if needed, but we do not have access to your password.

ENTERING INFORMATION

** Be sure to enter ALL information in the Seeker Info, Employment, Education, Skills and Vet/Misc. tabs ** This will allow you to view referral information ( How to Apply) on jobs you are qualified for. Some employers request that only qualified applicants be allowed to view their referral instructions. If you do not enter all of your information, your name might not come up when either our office or individual employers do a job search.

NOTE : If you click on How to Apply and it states you are not qualified, look at the qualifications you are missing and decide if you meet these qualifications. If you do, you will need to enter this information in your file before you can receive referral instructions.

SEARCH FOR JOBS

Once ALL information has been entered, you can begin searching for jobs that you qualify for.

You can search by County, by Workforce Center or by Region.

Zip Code

  • Click here to search by zip code. This will only include jobs within this zip code.

Within ___ miles of Zip Code

  • Click here to include areas within a certain mile range of this zip code.

County

  • Click on a county in the map to see jobs posted in that county in the last week. If no jobs are found in that county, you will need to do another search.

Workforce Center

  • Click on a Job Service Workforce Center's name in the map to see jobs posted in that Job Service Workforce Center in the last week. This will include all areas covered by this Workforce Center.

Region

  • Click on a region in the map to see jobs posted in that region in the last week.

Enter words to search for in jobs

  • If you have a job order number from our office or online, enter it in this field to bring up the job description.
  • You can also enter a keyword such as construction, truck driver, etc. to bring up jobs that match throughout the state of Montana.

Minimum Wage

  • Checking this box will only allow you to look at jobs at this wage or higher.

NOTE : Some jobs will pay more depending on experience and qualifications, but will be listed at a lower starting wage. In order to not miss these listings, please mark as low as you would consider or leave blank.

  • This section is helpful if you have looked at jobs in the last few days and only want to see what has posted since that time.

Shift

  • If you are only looking for days, swing (afternoons/evenings), graveyard or rotating positions you may choose one of these to pull up only positions that match your criteria.

Availability

  • If you are only looking for full time, part time, temporary or seasonal work, you may choose one of these to pull up only positions that match your criteria.

Days Off

  • Checking one of these boxes will omit any jobs that have these days marked on the job order.

Sort Jobs

  • Newest Jobs First – Will list the newest jobs we have received first.
  • Job Title – Will list jobs alphabetically by title.

Objective Statement

  • Your Objective Statement will be the first thing employers see below your name and contact information, if you allow them to view your resume. Make sure it represents your skills and qualification and tells employers the type of work you are seeking.

NOTE : This section is optional, you are not required to have an Objective Statement.

Minimum Desired Wage

  • Enter the absolute lowest wage on which you would want to be notified.

NOTE : If you enter, for example, $10.00 an hour and a job you qualify for comes in at a starting wage of $9.50, your file will not come up in our search.

Commission/Piece Rate

  • Would you work for commission?

Availability

  • Full time (35-40 hours per week)
  • Part time (1-35 hours per week)
  • Temporary (1-150 days)
  • Seasonal (Holidays, summer, winter, etc.)

Shifts

  • Days (i.e. 7am-3pm, 8am-5pm, 9am-6pm)
  • Swing (Afternoons and/or Evenings between 3 p.m. and 11:59 p.m.)
  • Graveyard (i.e. 10pm –6am, 11pm-7am, 12am-8am)
  • Rotating (Working different shifts on different days).

NOTE : If you enter only Rotating shift, your file will not come up in a search for daytime, afternoon, or evening positions, etc. Some employers may have you work a combination of different shifts; so if you are willing to work any shifts, please include rotating.

Will Work Saturdays

  • Would you consider working on Saturdays?

Will Work Sundays

  • Would you consider working on Sundays?

Will Live at Worksite

  • Would you consider living at a worksite? (i.e. ranch or farm, nanny, etc.)

Lifting Capacity

  • How much can you lift on a regular basis?
  • Choose 1-20 pounds, 20-50 pounds, 50-75 pounds, or over 75 pounds.

Seasonal Farm Worker

  • Mark this box if during the preceding 12 months you worked at least 25 or more days or parts of days in which some work was farm work, earned at least half your earned income from farm work, but were not employed in farm work year round for the same employer. If employed year round in farm work for the same employer, DO NOT select this option.

Migrant Farm Worker

  • A migrant farm worker is a seasonal farm worker (see definition above) who had to travel to do the farm work & couldn’t return to their residence within the same day.

Migrant Food Processor

  • During the preceding 12 months worked at least 25 or more days or parts of days in which some work was performed in food processing. Earned at least half your earned income from food processing work, but not employed in food processing work year round for the same employer or had to travel to do the food processing work & couldn’t return to their residence within the same day. If employed year round in food processing work for the same employer, DO NOT select this option.

  • Do you have access to a vehicle to get to work?

Driver’s License Type

Standard

  • Regular license to drive a vehicle

Class Code - A

  • Allows the holder to operate any combination of vehicles, including:
    • A trailer in excess of 10, 000 pounds
    • Articulate buses with a GCVWR exceeding 26,000 pounds
    • Any vehicle authorized to be driven under Class B, C or D

Class Code - B

  • Allows the holder to operate:
    • A vehicle exceeding 26, 000 GVWR that is towing a vehicle under 10,000 pounds GVWR
    • A school bus, or any bus or other vehicle hauling 16 or more passengers, including the driver
    • All vehicles under Class C or D

Class Code - C

  • Allows the holder to operate:
    • A single vehicle under 26,000 pounds that may tow a trailer 10,000 pounds or under
    • A vehicle that hauls hazardous materials in an amount sufficient to require placarding under Title 49 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 391
    • A school bus, or any vehicle that hauls 16 or more passengers, including the driver

Endorsements

NOTE : You will only have endorsements if you have Motorcycle, Taxi Cab, or a CDL.
