Snowy egret, photo: USFWSThe auto tour and walking trail on both Sacramento NWR and Colusa NWR provide excellent photographic opportunities. Typically, the best time of year for photography occurs from November through February when a variety of waterfowl and shorebirds are present.

Also, there are two photography blinds on Sacramento NWR, one blind on Colusa NWR and one blind on Delevan NWR.
