EPA Deputy Administrator's Small Business Trade Association Meeting
The ASBO hosts small business trade association meetings with the EPA Deputy Administrator and senior management. These meetings give the Agency the opportunity to discuss and understand the needs and concerns of small business, as well as their recommendations regarding these important issues. These meetings have been held for over fourteen years and reflect the Agency's efforts of working cooperatively with stakeholders. The last meeting was held October 29, 2008. Small Business Ombudsman/Small Business Environmental Assistance Program (SBO/SBEAP) National Conference Exit EPA Disclaimer – The 2009 SBO/SBEAP National Conference will be held June 1-5, 2009 in Louisville, Kentucky. The conference will be designed specifically for state SBOs/SBEAPs, other small business environmental assistance providers, US EPA, and small businesses. This annual conference is a great opportunity for programs to network and share compliance assistance tools and share information to help small businesses with their environmental compliance, energy, and pollution prevention issues.

National Environmental Partnership Summit Exit EPA Disclaimer – The ASBO is conducting a workshop on “Doing Business with EPA: How to Win Contracts and How Greening will Help Your Success.” The workshop will be held in San Francisco, CA in May 2009 and will feature training and outreach to the local small business community of the San Francisco Bay Area. The first half of the session will look at how small and minority owned businesses can best locate and receive federal contracts and/or environmental assistance through the EPA. The second half of the session will be focused on tools and methods to green a small business, with both an evaluation of EPA voluntary environmental assistance programs, as well as thoughts and discussion from small local business members that are on the forefront of greening their own business.
