Student Wins 1st place for JSG Symposium Poster

Congratulations to UTIG PhD student, Dusty Schroeder, who won 1st place in the Late-Career PhD category for his presentation, "Configuration of Subglacial Water and Sediments Beneath Thwaites Glacier, West Antarctica: Context for a Potential Melt-Water-Intensive Grounding-Line-Retreat" at the 2nd Annual Jackson School Research Symposium, Feb. 2, 2013.

UTIG Student Wins "Outstanding Student Paper Award" for AGU Presentation

Congratulations to UTIG PhD student, Dan Eakin, who won an "Outstanding Student Paper Award" from the Tectonophysics Section of AGU for the 2012 AGU Fall Meeting. Dan's presentation was entitled, "Milestones in arc-continent collision evolution: The transition from intra-oceanic subduction to incipient collision."
