Research Interests/Duties

I am a graduate student in Plant Biology at UC Davis. I am using genetic and genomic tools for poplars to understand the process of secondary growth and wood formation in roots. Woody, structural roots are an important component of carbon sequestration below ground, and defining the genes regulating wood properties that affect carbon sequestration is one goal of my research.
